My name is Ms. Dana Kaissi and I’m honored to be your first grade teacher this year! I have previously taught 8th grade English and Literature for 4 years and have always been very passionate about teaching and doing my best to make every day fun! I am excited to be a part of the IAH staff and to continue to have a wonderful year full of learning and growth. I love being outdoors, crafting, and baking. I am happily married to Mohamad El Khatib and have two wonderful children, Talia and Mustafa.
I was born and raised in the Middle East and I an the oldest of four! I have a younger sister and two younger brothers, I was raised by two wonderful parents and there is absolutely nothing more important to me than family. This has allowed me to acquire so many of the family, cultural, and religious values which I hope to pass on to my students.
I have attended the American University of Beirut and hold a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on Public Administration. I have attended a variety of professional development workshops on learning goals, classroom management, student motivation, and engaging learning activities.
